The Salvamar Alnair rescued this Wednesday an irregular vessel that was in waters near Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
It was a person who alerted 112 at approximately 11:15 a.m. about the presence of this dinghy. Initially, Maritime Rescue could not locate the vessel, so the plane was also activated to cover a larger area.
Finally, the vessel was located with 71 people on board, 61 men, two of them minors, and ten women. In addition, one of them is pregnant and several of the occupants are experiencing general discomfort.
The dinghy is expected to arrive at Puerto Naos in the coming hours, where the migrants will be attended to by the Red Cross and medical personnel.
