Four will finally be the aspirants to the scepter and crown of queen of the 2014 Carnival, after a new candidate joined at the last minute. The contest will be held next Sunday at 9:30 p.m. at the Arrecife Fairgrounds and access will be free.
The candidates, accompanied by their designers, were presented this Thursday to the media in a meeting held on the carnival stage, to which the final touches are being made.During the press conference, the drawing of the order of appearance on stage of the different fantasies was also held live.
Tamara de León will parade in the first place, who will wear the design La Katrina goes out in Carnival, made by Irazema de León and sponsored by Discopub Doblón, Heineken brewery, El Asturiano bar, Oscar paintings and Club La Santa pool bar.
The second candidate will be Melody Sánchez, who will wear the fantasy Bella Criatura, the work of fashion designer Juan Francisco Sánchez, on behalf of the company Cadelsa and the Chévere jewelry store.
In third place, the young Paula Montero will take the stage, dressed in a creation by Jaime Romero called Let's go partying to the Haría Carnival, thanks to the financial support of Party Fiesta, Anijena SL and Aloe Plus Lanzarote.
Finally, Atenea will arrive before the public, Renné's fantasy, sponsored by the Tángara nightclub and presented by Gabriela Mendieta.
"This year we have promoted the meeting between different commercial firms, which join forces to take charge of the cost of the designs in exchange for advertising their companies and out of responsibility to the festivities of their city, a gesture of generosity that we deeply appreciate from the Arrecife City Council", said the Councilor for Celebrations, Victor Sanginés.
The gala will be presented by Carmen Nieves and Gabi Solano and enlivened by the singer Gerson Galván, the Los Cumbacheros troupe, the "Ya tú sabes" ballet and a group of gymnasts from the Isla de Lanzarote club.
