Another eight boats rescued near Lanzarote in the early morning

In total, 317 people were traveling, and five of them have been transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital

Maritime Rescue has rescued another eight boats off the coast of Lanzarote this Friday morning, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

As detailed by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security, a total of 317 people were traveling in the boats. The migrants have been transferred by the Maritime Rescue boats to the Commercial pier of Arrecife.

One of the pneumatics capsized and eight people, 7 adults and one minor, had to be evacuated by the Helimer helicopter to Molina Orosa.

Of the 317 people rescued, 25 are women and 3 are children, while the remaining 289 are men of Maghreb and sub-Saharan origin. In addition, five people have had to be transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
