Maritime Rescue has intercepted another precarious vessel near La Graciosa, according to the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium.
There were 55 people on board, including two children and 10 women. After being intercepted, its occupants were transferred to Puerto Naos at 10:00 p.m. where they were assisted by Red Cross volunteers. Two of the migrants have been evacuated to the Molina Orosa hospital.
This is the ninth boat that has arrived in Lanzarote this Wednesday. More than 418 people have been assisted until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. To which this last boat of the day has been added, which arrived at 10:00 p.m. Most of them have been intercepted by Maritime Rescue and another one has arrived on its own to La Garita beach in Arrieta.
In total, 473 people have been treated in Lanzarote and nine of the people who have arrived on the island have been evacuated to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
