A large Emergency device is trying to locate a vessel sailing near the coast of Teguise. Everything seems to indicate that it is a precarious barge carrying irregular migrants.
The Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) had received several calls since 12:30 in the morning reporting the sighting of this vessel. The calls indicated that the vessel was less than a kilometer from the shore, between Charco del Palo and Los Cocoteros.
Already around 1:20 p.m. in the morning, the vessel is 250 meters from the coast, at the height of Los Ancones. Maritime Rescue, as well as agents of the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Teguise, have already moved to the area. For the moment, the time of embarkation and the number of occupants sailing in it are unknown.
