After the rescue, the Guardamar Urania headed to the Port of Arrecife, where it arrived around 00:45 hours at night. The vessel they were traveling on was left adrift at the location where it was intercepted.

On this vessel, according to data provided by the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, there were people from Burkina Faso, Comoros, Ghana, Guinea Conakry, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Morocco, Senegal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Gambia.

Also this past Saturday, another vessel that departed from Morocco arrived on the island. There were 53 people on this barge, of whom 49 were men, four women, and six minors.

The people rescued on the precarious vessel with about fifty survivors came from seven different countries: Guinea Conakry, Ivory Coast, Mali, Comoros, Senegal, Nigeria, and Gambia. Meanwhile, it had departed from the Moroccan city of Agadir.
