The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) maintains the yellow warning for haze, which will mainly affect elevated areas, although it is not ruled out that it will also reach low areas of the island.

For this Saturday, the sky will remain generally clear, with some intervals in the north and west during the first and last hours of the day. Isolated storms with little precipitation are not ruled out from the afternoon.

The minimum temperatures will hardly register changes, while the maximum temperatures will experience a slight increase, and may locally reach 30 degrees in the southeast. The wind will blow moderately from the northeast, with strong intervals in inland areas of the southern half, and breezes are expected on the south coast.

Temperature rise towards Sunday

Looking ahead to Sunday, the situation of clear skies will continue and the haze will persist during the second half of the day. The maximum temperatures will continue to rise, which may be moderate in inland areas, with values exceeding 30-32 degrees in the southern interior. The wind will be from the northeast component on the coast, light to moderate, and in the interior it will prevail from the southeast, also light.

In addition, AEMET warns of a reduction in visibility to 3,000 meters, which will mainly affect high areas facing south, although limitations in low areas are not ruled out either.

The Agency recommends taking extreme precautions, especially in people sensitive to the presence of suspended dust, and avoiding prolonged outdoor activities during the central hours of the day.
