A new boat has been rescued in the early hours of this Saturday, February 4, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

There were 49 people on board, nine of them women, of Maghrebi and sub-Saharan origin. Maritime Rescue has transferred them to the Commercial dock where they have been attended by the Red Cross.

The NGO has reported that they were all in good health, so no transfer to a hospital center has been necessary.

This is the second boat to arrive on the island in the month of February, in total 92 people have been rescued.
