A 104-year-old woman who had tested positive for Covid has died this week in Lanzarote. Her death has thus been added to the official statistics of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, although the sources consulted indicate that in this case, Covid may not have been the direct cause.
The death occurred earlier this week, although it had not been revealed until now, when the Ministry of Health has reported this and other deaths that have occurred in the islands in recent days.
It should be remembered that the Ministry of Health has stopped reporting daily on the evolution of the pandemic and only does so for people over 60 years of age, which is the population group that is monitored after passing the acute phase of the Pandemic.
With this, there have been 70 deaths of patients with coronavirus on the island since the beginning of the health crisis.
