53 migrants rescued in a boat intercepted near Lanzarote

There were 52 men and one woman on board, who are in apparent good health.

The Red Cross has reported the arrival of a pneumatic boat this Friday with 53 people of sub-Saharan origin, 52 of whom are men and there is also one woman, apparently in good health. 

The boat, which was detected by the fishing vessel Layuno Zallo, was intercepted this Friday at 07:30 island time in international waters, 47 nautical miles northeast of the island of Lanzarote.

The migrants have been rescued by the ship Guardamar Talía, which proceeded to disembark at Puerto Naos around 11:00.
