The Local Clinic of Tahíche, attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, will reopen its doors this Thursday, June 25, after the completion of the comprehensive remodeling works that have been carried out in its facilities with a total investment of 494,246 euros.
The works carried out in this clinic, which provides healthcare to a reference population of 4,017 people over 14 years of age, have allowed for the renovation of the building's facilities, improved accessibility, and adapted its spaces to the needs of users and professionals. In addition, new technological systems and solutions based on renewable energies have been incorporated to increase the efficiency and sustainability of the center.
The intervention has included the construction of a new adapted access ramp, the adaptation of restrooms for people with reduced mobility, the creation of accessible changing rooms for workers, and the elimination of architectural barriers, thus favoring a more comfortable and safe use of the facilities.
Likewise, essential constructive elements have been renovated such as the roof, interior pavements, false ceilings, access doors, and carpentry, as well as part of the center's furniture.
Regarding the facilities, the works have allowed for the complete modernization of the electrical and communications network, the replacement of air conditioning and ventilation systems, the renovation of plumbing and sanitation installations, and the incorporation of an 8.3-kilowatt photovoltaic solar energy plant for self-consumption.
