La Voz de Lanzarote goes one step further and announces this Wednesday, May 21, the premiere of its English edition.
This important milestone responds to the evolution and demographic growth that the island is experiencing and the growing interest that local information arouses outside the island's borders.
With data from 2024, 23.9% of residents were foreigners, mostly from non-Spanish speaking countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Morocco and Germany. In addition to the fact that last year 2024 alone, the island registered 3.4 million tourists who arrived through the Airport and 600,000 cruise passengers.
The launch of our English edition seeks to take a further step in the technological improvements and editorial diversification that this medium has been addressing in recent years, as well as in order to further consolidate leadership on the internet in our geographical area. La Voz de Lanzarote has very competitive traffic figures even at a regional level.
With the possibility of reading in two languages, this medium wants to continue offering a service that satisfies the information and entertainment needs of our audience, in parallel to the changes that the media environment is experiencing.
All this is possible thanks to the extraordinary involvement of our audience, who not only read us every day, but also participate very actively with their comments, opinion articles, as well as sending us their information and multimedia resources. Something we are deeply proud of and that motivates us every day to continue in our efforts.
Many thanks also to the advertisers who trust our medium as a guaranteed promotional platform for their brands.
