The photographer from Lanzarote, Gustavo Medina, has captured a spectacular timelapse of the Milky Way seen from Lanzarote.
As he shared on his social networks, he captured the exit of the galaxy that houses our solar system, including Earth, on the horizon from the beaches of Papagayo. "Have you ever seen the Milky Way rise over the horizon, as if it were the sun or the moon?" he asked his followers.
To achieve this moving image, Medina used a timelapse sequence, which consists of capturing a series of images over a certain period of time, to join them and then play them back at high speed.
In the image you can see the coastline of the Los Ajaches Natural Monument, the passage of different boats along the coast and on the horizon how the Milky Way appears until it is high in the sky.
This artist has pointed out that it was "a real challenge to be able to achieve this type of sequence", since it is difficult to obtain this type of image from the coastline, without clouds and with the Moon.
