The Teguise Market celebrated Mother's Day in grand style this Sunday with different activities aimed at all audiences, especially the elderly and children.
The little ones have enjoyed a magician and workshops, as well as the performance by José Manuel Ramos, who provided the musical note with songs dedicated to mothers.
During this event, visitors could also enjoy a showcooking session and product presentation where around 300 tastings were given out in each of the tents.
According to reports from the Teguise City Council, this initiative has been carried out to attract local people to the market, not just tourists.
"We wanted to do something different to celebrate this special day and that's why we've done this dynamic activity bringing local produce closer to all the people who have come to the market through cheese, wine, and gofio," pointed out Olivia Duque, mayor of the Teguise City Council.
