After the pilgrimage in honor of the Virgen de Los Dolores last Saturday, hundreds of supermarket trolleys that many people use to carry drinks and food to Mancha Blanca were abandoned along the road, especially at the entrances to the town.

Upon entering the Los Dolores esplanade area, security measures prohibit access with these types of trolleys, which is why many decide to leave them on the roadsides.
The mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, intervened this Monday on the program Buenos días, Lanzarote where he called on the island's various supermarkets to take charge of the trolleys within a week. Otherwise, the City Council itself will dispose of them.
Furthermore, he emphasized that supermarket chains must have control every year for the Los Dolores festivities to prevent the trolleys from being stolen.
