The family affected by the fire in their home in Playa Honda, went to the Arrecife City Council to thank all the members who helped to extinguish the flames, especially Yonathan De León and Jacobo Medina, who grabbed some fire extinguishers and acted while waiting for the firefighters to arrive.

Last August 6, a home in Playa Honda was affected by a fire where no one was inside. In the video released, in addition to the tenant's uncle, the mayor of Arrecife Yonathan De León and Councilor Jacobo Medina quickly arrived, as shown in the video released, with fire extinguishers to try to extinguish the flames while waiting for the arrival of emergency services.

The video of the mayor and the councilor shows the house full of black smoke and the actions of the tenant's uncle, De León and Medina with their shirts covering their noses to avoid inhaling the escaping smoke and the use of fire extinguishers at the entrance of the home.

Victoria Valverde, the tenant of the home, and her uncles went to the City Council to personally thank the help provided which only resulted in material loss. For the family, they are "two heroes" for whom she has no words, according to the video in which the words of thanks are shown.

The affected family met with De León and Medina to thank them, as well as the security forces and firefighters who made a rapid deployment and extinguished the flames, which did not result in any injuries.
