The exhibition Itinerant Campaign for Information and Awareness on climate change and its effects in the Canary Islands will take place between January 30 and February 9 at the Lanzarote Fishing School of the Maritime Fisheries Vocational Training Institute of the Canary Islands.

The exhibition, requested by the Biosphere Reserve and the Fishing School, contains 41 panels that explain the general causes of climate change on the planet, the most obvious effects and also the indirect effects on the ecosystems of the Archipelago. It also highlights existing solutions to mitigate these impacts, emphasizing necessary changes in the productive sectors, regulations and daily habits.

Organized by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning in collaboration with the FECAM, developed by the Green Offices of the Canary Islands, the exhibition offer is on tour of the islands, with the aim of bringing to the population an issue that is not usually dealt with outside the most inhabited and industrialized areas and that, however, affects all the island territories.

For the visit to the exhibition there will be a guided tour service by environmental facilitators, in charge of interpreting and adapting the routes to the exhibition according to the profile and needs of the people who attend.

The guided tour schedule for the general public will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at every peak hour from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and will last approximately 50 minutes.
