During these days, Super Puma and AB212 model helicopters and crews from BHELMA VI are training in reconnaissance, transport, and surveillance missions, both day and night, using night vision goggles.

These activities are intended to prepare the crews to act in case of need, both military and in support of the island's Civil Authorities. At the same time, surveillance is reinforced, possible threats are deterred, and the security of land areas under national sovereignty on the island is guaranteed.

This activity is integrated into the flight preparation of BHELMA VI, to be in operational condition for the maintenance of National Security in times of peace. Deployment in Lanzarote not only allows for effective surveillance of the environment, but also facilitates greater knowledge of the terrain and the social reality of the island. In addition, it promotes the integration of the military into the local community and strengthens the bond between the Armed Forces and the citizens.
