After the success of the first edition of The City of Pecosol where Paco Campos reassured his daughters in the form of a story after his wife Cristina's hospitalization, the writer now launches the second edition, The City of Pecosol 2: In Search of the Dragon Mom.
This second part, published by BABIDI-BÚ publishing house and illustrated by Eva García (Lilleon), is the continuation of the first book, in which the little dragons accompany the baby on a new adventure to find their mother. This story maintains the same values as its prequel, friendship, empathy, never giving up, and, in addition, a new one: keeping promises.
Campos has already witnessed the great success of this second book even before its publication. "The reception has been incredible, a month before this second part was released, the first and second editions were already sold out in pre-orders. Currently, I have over 700 reservations and some people are already receiving it, I have about 20% delivered.
The book will be available from this August 24th in any bookstore on the island or also through Paco Campos himself by contacting him through his Instagram profile, where it can be obtained dedicated and signed for the same price.
The writer has announced that there will be a book presentation, but for now, there is no official date. However, this Saturday, August 22nd, Paco Campos will be at the Famara Market for the pre-launch.
The favorite book of the little ones
The writer says that the reception of the book by the little ones and their families has been unbeatable. "Their parents tell me: 'look, he has books, but they always go for yours and always want me to read it to them,' and for me, that's the greatest compliment," he points out.
"The little ones like it, they take their parents' phones away to ask me when the book is coming out, and in general, it has been an incredible reception," he continues. He also points out that what the youngest ones have liked the most has been the baby dragon with the pacifier. Thus, he gives a small spoiler by revealing the name of the dragon mom, named Cribana, in honor of the names of his wife Cristina and his daughters Bárbara and Naiara.
On the other hand, he recalls that at the beginning of the book there is a QR code that can be accessed, and through which Campos, via a video, explains how The City of Pecosol came about. Furthermore, at the end of the book, there is a special dedication to his family.
