The Canary Health Service (SCS) informs that as of this week, the mobile applications miCitaPrevia and miHistoria cease to be operational as independent applications and their functionalities are integrated into miSCS, which is consolidated as the single mobile application of the SCS for citizen access to its main digital health services.

In this way, people who used miCitaPrevia or miHistoria will be able to carry out from miSCS the procedures related to the request, consultation, modification, and cancellation of Primary Care appointments, as well as access their clinical history, medical reports, and the rest of the available health information.

This integration allows simplifying citizen access to the SCS digital services, avoiding the need to maintain different applications installed on the mobile phone and bringing together its main functionalities in a single access point.

To publicize the suspension of activity of the miCitaPrevia and miHistoria apps, the Canary Health Service is launching a dissemination campaign this Monday, September 7, to encourage the use of the miSCS application, through the publication of explanatory infographics on the turn screens of public health centers and hospitals in the Canary Islands and through the social networks of the Ministry of Health and the Canarias Saludable channel.

MiSCS, a single application for digital health services

The miSCS technological tool encompasses all the digital health services that the Canary Health Service makes available to patients and users.

It is noteworthy that miSCS was already offering a wide range of functionalities and digital services, which remain available and are now complemented by the integration of the services from miCitaPrevia and miHistoria.

Among the functionalities already available in miSCS are access to:

• personal clinical information;

• diagnostic tests and laboratory results;

• treatment plan and medication information;

• allergies and other relevant health data;

• vital signs and health habits;

• vaccination information;

• medical history and active diagnoses;

• data associated with the Individual Health Card;

• management of linked persons through myFavorites;

• notifications and reminders related to health services;

• and other digital services included in the SCS catalog and future functionalities that will be added.

To these already existing functionalities, those that until now were provided through the mobile applications miCitaPrevia and miHistoria are integrated, especially the management of Primary Care appointments and access to and consultation of the clinical history and available clinical reports.

In this way, miSCS allows concentrating in the same environment services that previously required the use of different applications, offering citizens a simpler, more homogeneous, and accessible experience.

It is necessary to have the latest version of miSC

For the use of the miSCS application, it is necessary to update and have the latest version of this SCS app, so it is recommended that people who already have it installed access their mobile phone's app store and check if there are any pending updates.

Those who do not yet have miSCS can download it for Android and iOS devices from the corresponding official application platforms.

Likewise, all information about miSCS and access to the different digital services of the Canarian Health Service is available on the website www.miscs.org.

Digital Identity and Virtual Individual Health Card

miSCS has identification mechanisms that allow each person to securely access the information and services that correspond to them.

For the management of Primary Care appointments (request, consultation, modification, and cancellation), the same access mechanism used by miCitaPrevia is maintained: Individual Health Card (TSI) number and Secure Verification Code (CSV). No additional procedure is necessary to continue managing appointments from miSCS.

To consult the clinical history, medical reports, and other personal clinical data, access requires identification through miIdentidad Digital, digital certificate, or Cl@ve.

The application also incorporates the Virtual Individual Health Card (TSI), which allows having the health card in digital format on the mobile phone and facilitates access to the different services integrated into miSCS.

Likewise, miSCS allows the centralized management of myFavorites, through which authorized or linked persons can be incorporated to use certain functionalities available in the digital services.

Simplification of SCS Digital Services

The integration of miCitaPrevia and miHistoria within miSCS represents a new step in the process of simplification and unification of the digital services of the Canary Islands Health Service.

With this measure, the SCS concentrates functionalities in a single mobile application that were previously distributed among different tools, while maintaining and expanding the services that miSCS was already providing. The objective is to facilitate citizen access, reduce the dispersion of applications, and improve the user experience, especially for those less familiar with digital tools.

To obtain support related to the operation or use of miSCS, users can contact the email address miscs.scs@gobiernodecanarias.org, briefly indicating their query or incident.
