Two agents from the Animal Protection Unit of the Local Police of Arrecife rescued 'Bamba', an abandoned dog, from a vacant lot at 2:30 a.m. last Thursday.
The animal was tied with a leash to a tire near the facilities of the kennel of the Sara Animal and Plant Protector. A neighbor who was passing through the area on her way home saw the dog and notified the police, who came to his rescue.
The animal, of mixed American Bully breed, lacks a microchip, so it is impossible to identify its owner, they point out from the police force.
From the time the events occurred, 21 days must pass so that 'Bambam' can be part of the adoption program and find a new family that loves him.
