Sonidos Líquidos put a cap on its Belingueos this Sunday with an unprecedented experience in La Graciosa, where music, knowledge, and landscape went hand in hand to celebrate a day that once again demonstrated that the festival is much more than a succession of concerts.

The initiative, organized with the Líneas Romero Foundation and the UNESCO Global Geopark of Lanzarote and Chinijo Archipelago, was part of the European Geoparks Week, inviting attendees to discover the uniqueness of the eighth island from a "different perspective."

The experience began at the port of Órzola, where participants boarded a catamaran bound for Caleta del Sebo, turning the journey itself into part of the festival. During the voyage, Dr. in Geology and specialist in Physical Volcanology Olaya García gave the talk "Landscapes created by volcanoes: a geological journey through El Río," bringing attendees closer to the geological history that has shaped one of the most extraordinary landscapes in the Canary Islands.

After the scientific dissemination, the journey continued with a very special session by Ale Acosta, who presented a selection of unreleased remixes from his album El Porvenir, produced by prominent names in the national electronic scene. Music thus accompanied the crossing between Lanzarote and La Graciosa, turning the sea into another festival stage.

Once in Caleta del Sebo, the day continued with a free concert by Los Blody, winners of the Sonora festival, who displayed all the personality, energy, and freshness on stage that has led them to become one of the emerging bands with the greatest projection of the moment. Indeed, after their performance in La Graciosa, the group will head to the stage of Mad Cool Festival, one of the most important festivals in the country.

The program was completed with a workshop promoted by the Líneas Romero Foundation, in which young and old participated in the collective creation of a "sombrera graciosera" made from collected plastic waste and other reused materials, uniting creativity, environmental education, and citizen participation.

With this initiative, Sonidos Líquidos once again highlighted that "sustainability is also built through culture, knowledge, and community involvement. A philosophy that has accompanied the festival since its inception and which in this edition has once again been present in each of its actions."

For Neftalí Acosta, director of Sonidos Líquidos, "for years we have argued that this festival is much more than a lineup of artists. It is a tool to highlight Lanzarote; its territory, its landscape, its history, its heritage, and its local product, attracting a visitor who wants to discover it with respect. Incorporating La Graciosa was a natural step within that philosophy. And doing so hand in hand with the Líneas Romero Foundation and the UNESCO Global Geopark of Lanzarote and the Chinijo Archipelago has allowed us to build an experience that goes far beyond music, bringing the extraordinary natural and geological richness of a privileged environment, surrounded by one of the largest marine reserves in Europe, closer to the public.”

Sonidos Líquidos is organized by Arenao Producciones with the sponsorship of Cabildo de Lanzarote, Turismo de Islas Canarias, SPEL -Turismo Lanzarote under its brand Lanzarote Music Festivals, Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, Yaiza City Council, Regulatory Council of the D.O. Vinos de Lanzarote and Lava Live Fest. Collaborators: Grupo Chacón, Relaxia Resorts, Sonora and Tickety. Financed by the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
