Ana Garrido Martín, student of the Degree in Fashion Design at UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, native of Lanzarote, has debuted in the 82nd edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid catwalk.

The designer has been part, along with 37 other colleagues, of the fashion show organized by said university, the only one that has its own fashion show in the official calendar of the most long-standing and prestigious fashion catwalk in Spain.

In it, she has presented three designs within the choral collection Los Ritmos, created together with her UDIT colleagues, before the eyes of high representatives of the Government of Spain, the Community of Madrid and the City Council of Madrid, as well as members of different international Embassies, media and companies in the fashion sector.

A universe of interpretations that contrast the ethereal and the structured

Under the name Los Ritmos, the young designers of UDIT have shown their work in a fashion show held at the Museum of America, a unique location, which stands out for its spectacularity and its symbolism, collecting the history and the footprint of America from prehistoric stages.

The Spring-Summer 2026 collection of UDIT has as its starting point the concept of Los Ritmos, an idea that opens a universe of interpretations and that has been approached by the students of the Degree in Fashion Design from various perspectives, giving rise to an exercise of great creative richness.

Inspired by the beats of music, its link with dance and body movement or the internal rhythm of literature with its pauses and accents, each student has captured their imagination in garments that play with the contrast between the ethereal and the structured, fusing artisanal techniques, unique textures and palettes that alternate vibrant nuances with sober tones. The result: a visual choreography in which fluidity and personality give shape to a narrative full of life.
