The Lanzarote con Palestina collective invites citizens to participate in a demonstration next Saturday, October 17, at 12:00 PM, in front of the Casa Amarilla, in Arrecife, under the slogan “Because the genocide continues”. The call is part of the mobilizations that are once again sweeping through Spanish streets to denounce the persistence of violence against the Palestinian people, forced displacement, hunger, destruction, and impunity, as well as to claim Palestine’s right to live in freedom, justice, and dignity.

Lanzarote con Palestina emphasizes that, "faced with devastation and persecution, the resistance of the Palestinian people continues, as does international solidarity." The collective insists that citizen mobilization, boycott campaigns, and denunciation actions "are fundamental tools to demand accountability and end complicity with human rights violations."

In its manifesto, the organization denounces the situation of imprisoned Palestinians, including those held without charge or trial, and calls for their immediate release. Likewise, it condemns allegations of torture, mistreatment, isolation, denial of medical attention, and sexual violence in detention centers. They also express their rejection of measures directed against Palestinian human rights organizations that document alleged international crimes and collaborate with international justice mechanisms, and call for the rejection of the extradition of James Fergie Cox Chambers, whose situation they consider an example of the criminalization of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The collective also expresses its support for the demands of the popular movement for decent housing in Lanzarote, as it considers it necessary to investigate and denounce the participation of capital linked to Israeli interests in real estate operations and investment funds, which acquire entire buildings to rent them out and obtain high returns.

The collective warns that certain practices by these funds, such as non-renewal of contracts or abusive rent increases, can aggravate residential vulnerability and encourage evictions. Therefore, it defends that the fight for the right to housing and the denunciation of investments related to the occupation and violation of Palestinian rights can be part of the same demand for social justice.
