The Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital celebrates ten years of bringing live music concerts by artists from the Accompanying Social Action Association to patients, families, and professionals.

The initiative, which aims to humanize the healthcare provided at the Lanzarote hospital center, is mainly developed on the Oncology floor, in the Oncohematological Day Hospital, and in the Pediatrics service, where music therapy sessions are carried out in coordination with the tutor of the hospital classroom. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is another area that also hosts their performances.

The manager of Health Services on the island, Pablo Eguia, thanks the Accompanying Association for their involvement in this project, "which ensures the emotional well-being of patients, improving their mood and reducing the stress generated by hospital stays."

The musicians from Accompanying visit the hospital every two weeks to perform their songs, and with each performance, they contribute to creating a warmer and more comforting environment for patients and their companions, thus reinforcing the center's commitment to comprehensive and humane care.
