Health renews fifty beds in Lanzarote's public hospitals

These beds are essential to meet current care needs, including the replacement of obsolete furniture and adaptation to current health standards

The General Directorate of Economic Resources of the Canary Islands Health Service, attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, has formalized the contracting of the supply and installation of 175 hospitalization beds for various SCS hospital centers, for an amount of 468,650 euros.

The acquisition of these new beds is required to renew and expand the equipment of the SCS healthcare centers, thus guaranteeing an improvement in the quality of patient care. These beds are essential to meet current healthcare needs, including the replacement of obsolete furniture and adaptation to current health standards.

Of the total of 175 new beds, seventy will be allocated to the La Palma Health Services Management, **fifty to the Lanzarote Health Services Management**, thirty to the Fuerteventura Health Services Management, and twenty-five to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital

 

Proceedings opened

The contract, formalized with Industrias Hidráulicas Pardo S.L., was awarded through an open tender procedure and ordinary processing, subject to harmonized regulation, with an execution period of four months and a base tender budget of 468,650 euros (including IGIC).

 

More than 1,400 new beds in 2024

The SCS incorporated a total of 1,456 beds into its network of public hospitals in the Canary Islands during the past year 2024, which were installed in the four university hospitals of the capital islands and their dependent centers

The incorporation of this new furniture represented an investment of 3,427,837 million euros, also co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the Canarias FEDER 2021-2027 Program.
