Faced with the latest information appearing in the media in relation to said position in the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism of Lanzarote (CACT), the FSOC Union Section wants to make its position clear. "FSOC is the most voted union by the staff, by far. It is a reality that the workers reflected in the polls and that, whether someone likes it or not, must be respected," they state.

The union emphasizes that "when talking about the works council and the actions being carried out, we are also talking about a staff in which FSOC obtained the greatest support in votes, so we consider that there must be corresponding respect for our representation."

In relation to the documents and writings that are being publicly mentioned about the position in question, FSOC wants to make it "absolutely clear" that it has not participated in their preparation, drafting, negotiation, or approval. "Therefore, FSOC cannot be related or attributed to any document, writing, agreement, or action in which it has not participated," they affirm.

Likewise, the organization points out that it has been denouncing for some time the "lack of information and participation" to which it is being subjected, a situation that has been brought to the attention of the Labor Inspectorate on repeated occasions.

"The only commissions in which FSOC has been able to participate are those in which the regulations themselves oblige us to have our representation. In the rest of the commissions and work spaces, FSOC has been left out, despite being the most voted union by the staff," they denounce.

For all these reasons, they assure that they will not take a position on documents or actions in which they have not participated because they do not have the necessary information: "We are not going to talk about or evaluate what we do not know or what we are not clear about."

"And, in the event that any irregularity or responsibility arises from said actions, it must be assumed by those who have intervened in their preparation, processing, or approval, not by a union organization that has not participated in them," they warn.

Finally, they conclude by stating that FSOC "will continue to defend the staff's right to be informed and for their union representation to be respected."
