The Directorate General of Emergencies, based on the situation that occurred, and in application of the Territorial Emergency Plan for Civil Protection of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands PLATECA, ends the pre-alert situation in Lanzarote this Sunday, October 4, 2026.
The water supply is regularized, with only pressure adjustments and specific actions remaining for the complete recovery of the service in certain areas, which continue to be managed by the responsible services.
The Directorate General of Emergencies has monitored the incident throughout the episode through CECOES 1-1-2, in coordination with Endesa Generación and the companies and organizations responsible for basic supplies. During yesterday, specific monitoring was also carried out with telephone operators, telecare services, and the RESCAN network, in order to check possible effects derived from the energy blackout and verify their evolution and recovery.
Once the electricity supply has been restored and the favorable evolution of the resulting effects has been verified, without any circumstances remaining that justify the continuation of the pre-alert situation, the pre-alert situation of the PLATECA is terminated.
