Arrecife organizes a "simultaneous breastfeeding" on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week

The meeting will be organized at the Civic Center of the capital and will begin with a dialogue space facilitated by the midwife of the Titerroy Health Center, Coral Castro

The Arrecife Civic Center hosts this Friday the 8th a Breastfeeding Meeting on the occasion of the celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, organized by the Management of Health Services of the Lanzarote Health Area, and in which the Councilor for Culture of Arrecife, directed by Abigail González, collaborates, who expresses her "great satisfaction for being able to contribute from the City Council to raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding as the most natural way to raise children".

Open to the public, the Meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the reception of attendees and at 5:45 p.m. a dialogue space will begin, facilitated by the midwife from the Titerroy Health Center, Coral Castro, under the title 'Voices of mothers'.

At 6:15 p.m. Ariana García, a breastfeeding mother and nurse from the aforementioned Titerroy Health Center, will lead a reading session and from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the simultaneous breastfeeding and a meeting of families and professionals will be held.

Abigail González congratulates the Management of Health Services of the Lanzarote Health Area, belonging to the Canarian Health Service of the Government of the Canary Islands, for the organization of this Breastfeeding Meeting, and also highlights its commitment to the Initiative for the Humanization of Childbirth and Breastfeeding Care (IHAN) with which the World Health Organization recognizes hospitals and health centers that comply with good practices in supporting pregnancy, childbirth, birth and breastfeeding.
