A worker who was carrying out fumigation work on the night of this Monday, July 20, on Juan de Quesada street, in Arrecife, had to be rescued by firefighters after becoming trapped at a height of about eight meters when the lifting vehicle he was working with became blocked.

According to the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Security and Emergencies Consortium, the alert was communicated by workers from the Arrecife City Council, who reported that one of the workers had been immobilized in the basket of the truck's hydraulic arm while carrying out fumigation tasks.

A team of firefighters with the ECO-3 vehicle was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the personnel assessed the situation and proceeded to rescue the worker, who remained trapped on the lifting platform.

Once the intervention was completed and with the worker now safe, the firefighters collected the material used, informed the 112 Operations Room and the Central of the service's completion, and returned to the station without any further incidents being recorded.
