Workers and volunteers from the Lanzarote Rescue and Emergency Service (Emerlan) rescued a woman this past weekend who fractured her leg while hiking. The events took place this Sunday around 1:50 p.m. in a difficult-to-access area in Caldera Blanca, in the municipality of Tinajo
Emerlan teams, in collaboration with the Tinajo Local Police and the Civil Guard, were mobilized to the area. In addition, a GES helicopter managed to locate and assist the patient.
The helicopter carried out the rescue and landed in a safe area on the esplanade of Los Dolores, where the transfer of the woman to the Emerlan ambulance was coordinated. Subsequently, she was evacuated to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital to receive medical attention.
