Firefighters rescued a 72-year-old Polish tourist this Saturday morning who had suffered a sprain in her left foot on the Montaña Roja volcano, in Playa Blanca.
According to the Security and Emergency Consortium, the sprain would have caused an ankle fracture.
Upon arrival, firefighters and health services were in charge of immobilizing the affected foot and taking her on a stretcher to where an ambulance was waiting for them.
Local Police officers and personnel from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) also attended the scene, collaborating with the transfer.
