This Saturday, around 2:08 p.m., a woman was trapped inside an elevator in a building located on El Greco street, in Arrecife. The situation was communicated to the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) of the Government of the Canary Islands, which activated the corresponding protocol and alerted the emergency services.
According to the Security and Emergency Consortium, upon arriving at the scene, the firefighters confirmed that the woman, who was visibly affected by a case of anxiety, had already been released by the technical service personnel of the elevator. A patrol of the Local Police of Arrecife was also present at the scene.
Given that the incident was resolved before their intervention, the firefighters did not have to act directly and ended the service, informing the fire station and CECOES.
