A 50-year-old hiker has been rescued after feeling unwell at the top of the caldera of the Volcán del Cuervo, as reported by CECOES.
The incident took place around 3:00 PM this Wednesday, September 23, when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center was alerted.
Local Police, Civil Guard, Civil Protection, and the Emergency Consortium agents have been dispatched to the scene. Additionally, the GES helicopter was initially activated but later canceled.
Firefighters arrived at the location where the hiker was and accompanied her to the parking lot near the volcano, and once there, she refused transfer to any health center.
