Violent assault on the owner of a house in San Bartolomé where they broke in to steal

Several people broke into a house in the municipality of San Bartolomé, in the La Florida area, on Monday morning and violently attacked the owner of the house. According to sources close to the case confirmed to La Voz, this robbery and subsequent aggression would have been perpetrated by a group that could be made up of up to 6 people. Subsequently, they fled in a vehicle that could belong to the victim. The Local Police of San Bartolomé and the Civil Guard are collaborating in the investigation and in the search for these people.

Although the police investigation is ongoing and for the moment all the details of what happened are not yet known, the Civil Guard has confirmed that the victims are a man and a woman, although only he has been attacked. Initial reports indicate that these people would have used extreme violence to perpetrate the robbery. Thus, they would have given the owner of the house a "beating". According to the Civil Guard, he has been transferred to the hospital, although it is unknown what condition he is in. The woman, for her part, was tied up by the attackers, but not beaten.

This group of people, according to the Benemérita, were already inside the house when the man and woman entered the house. According to one of the victims, they allegedly pretended to be civil guards, claiming that they were going to carry out a search. Subsequently, they tied her up and assaulted him. Afterwards, they fled in a vehicle.

"They have just suffered a traumatic event"

As for the perpetrators, the agents are looking for a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 5 or 6. In this sense, the Civil Guard has detailed that they are collecting all the information, since the victims "have just suffered a traumatic event, physically and psychologically", so there is "contradictory data". Within the investigations, the agents are also working to determine what the aggressors have taken from the house and if they were looking for something specific.

According to the Civil Guard, these people could have incurred up to three different crimes: usurpation of functions by posing as agents, illegal detention and robbery with violence and intimidation.

As a result of this case, the Benemérita has emphasized that "when there is a search by the Civil Guard, it is accompanied by a judicial secretary, or a representative of the judicial authority, with its pertinent search and entry warrant" and that "always" there is an agent who wears "the regulatory uniform".
