Firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote and La Graciosa had to intervene at midday this past Wednesday after being alerted to a vehicle fire on the LZ-1, near Guatiza.
Alerted by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of a vehicle fire on the LZ-1, the firefighters headed to this road that connects Tahíche and Guatiza, in the direction of the north of the island.
Upon their arrival at the scene, the personnel from Road Conservation had protected the area and secured access. The vehicle was burning in its entirety and the fire had spread to the grass on the side of the road.
After extinguishing the flames, by applying water, wetting agent, and foam, the firefighters confirmed that there was no risk of reignition.
Civil Guard agents also attended the scene.
