Firefighters from the Consortium for Security and Emergencies of Lanzarote and La Graciosa intervened on Saturday night in the fire of a vehicle that was inside a garage. The events took place around 9:05 PM on Folías street in Argana Alta, in Arrecife.
After being alerted by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) of a fire in a vehicle, they mobilized resource B, immediately moving to the scene of the incident.
Upon the arrival of the crew, they confirmed the presence of a vehicle located outside the dwelling's garage, with the hood open and the fire already extinguished. During the initial inspection, they verified the absence of active flames, although they observed a significant accumulation of smoke inside the garage, a consequence of the combustion generated during the incident.
As a preventive measure, they proceeded with mechanical ventilation and smoke extraction from the premises, progressively restoring safe atmospheric conditions and improving visibility inside. Subsequently, they carried out a check of the affected area, as well as safety levels, ruling out the existence of hidden embers, reignitions, or additional risks associated with the incident.
Once the cleanup operations were completed and the area secured, the CECOES was informed of the operational situation and the resolution of the service, with the crew returning to base.
During the intervention, there was the presence and collaboration of officers from the Local Police and the National Police Corps.
