A 62-year-old hiker has been rescued by helicopter after suffering a fall in Caldera Blanca, in the municipality of Tinajo. The affected person presented a moderate trauma.
The accident has taken place around 13:14 hours when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) has received the alert of the fall of the hiker in an area of difficult access.
To the scene have been dispatched the helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands, a basic life support ambulance of the Canarian Emergency Service and the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote.
The GES helicopter, with the collaboration of firefighters from the Emergency Consortium, has evacuated the affected person to Lanzarote Airport. There, medical personnel assisted on the ground and after stabilizing her transferred her to Molina Orosa.
