This Saturday, August 2nd, around 2:08 PM, one of the glass panels from the bus stop shelter located at Pueblo Marinero in Costa Teguise fell. The incident resulted in two people injured, although none seriously. A male had minor scratches and was treated at the scene by health services.
The Lanzarote Safety and Emergency Consortium, alerted by CECOES 1-1-2, urgently attended the scene, where the Teguise Local Police were already operating. After securing the area with ropes and removing the broken glass, the officers also proceeded to inspect the adjacent shelter, which was in poor condition, so it was also secured.
Finally, the affected area was cordoned off to avoid additional risks and the service was concluded.
