Two injured people rescued who were trapped in a rocky area of the Pechiguera lighthouse

The firefighters, upon arrival at the scene of the incident, verified that they could carry out the rescue by land, so the coordinating center proceeded to cancel the intervention of the GES helicopter.

Moment of the rescue of the two people at the Pechiguera lighthouse

Two men aged 35 and 64 had to be rescued this Saturday from a rocky area of the Pechiguera lighthouse, in Playa Blanca, as reported by CECOES. 

The firefighters, upon arrival at the scene of the incident, verified that they could carry out the rescue by land, so the coordinating center proceeded to cancel the intervention of the GES helicopter.

At first, both injured were taken to the Playa Blanca health center. One of the men presented a head trauma and moderate multiple contusions, so after a first assessment, he was transferred in a basic life support ambulance of the SUC to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

For its part, the other injured suffered a head trauma and moderate multiple contusions, and was also transferred in a medicalized ambulance of the SUC to the same hospital center.

The firefighters and the Local Police attended the scene, who also collaborated in the rescue and instructed the corresponding report.
