Firefighters extinguished this past Friday the fire of two vehicles, one of them electric, in two different areas of Playa Blanca, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
One of the fires affected a car that was parked in a house on La Concha street in the tourist town around 11:52 p.m.
In this case it was about an electric vehicle and whose flames were affecting the dwelling where there were people inside. After arriving at the scene, the personnel verified that the fire was located in the garage of the house and was affecting a wooden pergola. For their part, the people had already been able to leave the dwelling without suffering any damage.
The firefighters extinguished the vehicle's flames with water until it was completely cooled. They also inspected the house and confirmed that it had not been affected by the fire. Finally, a crane removed the car. During the service, the Yaiza Local Police collaborated securing the area while the extinguishing tasks were carried out.
The fire that affected another vehicle took place at 10:08 p.m. on Iceland street in the southern town, which was next to a house and other cars. The neighbors managed to put out the flames with their own means. For its part, the Yaiza Local Police was in charge of securing the perimeter.
Upon arriving at the scene, the firefighters verified that the fire had finally been controlled by the neighbors. The flames affected the front area of the vehicle and the rear bumper. The personnel carried out an inspection and temperature control and after assessing that there was no longer possibility of reignition, they concluded the service.
