The first action was carried out after observing certain behaviors and movements compatible with possible illicit activity related to the trafficking of narcotic substances by the owner of a hospitality establishment in Puerto del Carmen, for which reason police surveillance and monitoring efforts were intensified.
Subsequently, in a second intervention, while police officers were on public security duty, the agents observed an individual on an electric scooter making an exchange with a tourist, both showing suspicious behavior, for which reason their identification and subsequent police action were proceeded with.
Both actions were carried out in the vicinity of the leisure areas of Puerto del Carmen. As a result, the agents seized fragmented money, different types and quantities of narcotic substances, as well as several personal effects.
The detainees were transferred to the Main Post of the Civil Guard of Tías, located in Puerto del Carmen, along with the proceedings initiated and the seized effects, for their subsequent submission to the competent judicial authority.
These actions are part of the preventive and surveillance devices that the Local Police of Tías has been developing with the aim of reinforcing public security and preventing illicit activities in the areas with the highest influx in the municipality.
