Emergency services rescued a 62-year-old female hiker this Thursday after she fell in Caldera Blanca, in the municipality of Tinajo, according to the Emergency Coordination Center.
After receiving a call at around 1:05 PM alerting them to the fall of the woman, a French national, 112 activated emergency resources, including the GES helicopter. However, the aircraft's intervention was ultimately canceled as it was not necessary.
The tourist suffered an ankle sprain that prevented her from continuing the route, so she was taken to a SUC ambulance.
Local Police officers, the Guardia Civil, firefighters from the Emergency Consortium, and Civil Protection also attended the scene.
