The 'Tinajo gravedigger' and his partner arrested for drug trafficking

The National Police of Arrecife have arrested a man and a woman, both 57 years old, as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime.

After the National Police became aware that a person could be one of the largest distributors of narcotics in the north of the island and that he was also taking advantage of his condition as an employee in a cemetery and in a municipal kennel to carry out the transactions.

The police investigation carried out was able to confirm the agents' suspicions. This person, known as "the gravedigger of Tinajo," hid and sold narcotics inside the municipal facilities, taking advantage of the fact that he was an employee of the same. In addition, his partner also distributed the drugs to people who came to these places.

The police operation culminated in the arrest of both for drug trafficking, and in the three searches carried out, 525 grams of cocaine, 340 grams of marijuana, 21,000 euros in cash and a precision scale were seized.

After being placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority, the immediate imprisonment of "the gravedigger" was ordered.
