Three people were injured this Sunday after a head-on collision between a minibus and a vehicle on the LZ-2 as it passes through Mácher, according to the Emergency Consortium. The Local Police of Tías cut off the road to traffic, which facilitated the arrival of emergency services.

The events occurred around 08:30 hours, at which point emergency services deployed to the scene. When firefighters arrived, the driver of the minibus and one of the occupants of the car were outside the vehicles and were being attended to by an SUC ambulance.

The other occupant of the car was inside in the other front seat and, after stabilizing the vehicle, the firefighters proceeded to the immobilization of the injured person

The healthcare personnel placed a cervical collar on him/her, so they immobilized him/her with a short board and subsequently performed the extraction on the rescue board through the tailgate, having to remove the seats and force the rear door with a spreader to create the necessary opening.

Once the cranes removed the vehicles, the firefighters proceeded to clean the roadway, using sepiolite due to an oil spill.
