Firefighters extinguished this Sunday night two fires in an abandoned construction site and in a dwelling in Arrecife and Playa Blanca, according to the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium.

One of the fires took place around 10:55 p.m. on Tenderete street in the Lanzarote capital. After being alerted by CECOES, the personnel headed to an abandoned construction site, near the fire station, as a fire had broken out inside.

Once at the scene, they confirmed that it was a fire inside a garbage room and old belongings, so they proceeded to extinguish it.

The other fire occurred around 7:53 p.m. on Denmark street in Playa Blanca. After being notified of a fire near several dwellings, firefighters went to the area.

During the journey, the Local Police informed them that the fire was in a vacant lot full of belongings. Upon arrival, they put out the flames with jet and sprayed water.
