A 43-year-old man was the protagonist of a tense episode this Saturday morning in Arrecife, when he climbed to the top of a four-story building on Caldera de Taburiente street and threatened to jump. The events occurred around 08:19 hours, at which time the Local Police alerted the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium. Emergency resources were immediately activated, including units from the Central Park, as well as vehicles Bravo 5 and Eco 3, establishing an intervention level 2. Teams deployed a jump mattress under the building as a precaution while attempting to convince the individual to desist. The situation lasted for approximately two hours, until the man finally came down on his own.
Once on the ground, he was apprehended by the National Police and transferred in a medical ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital in Lanzarote for medical evaluation.
