The Civil Guard emphasizes in a report that Koldo García managed to get the then president of the Canary Islands and current minister, Ángel Víctor Torres, to directly handle the outstanding payments from his government to a company belonging to Víctor de Aldama for contracts of sanitary material during the pandemic.
The report by the Central Operative Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard details the efforts of Koldo - who was an advisor to the former Minister of Transport José Luis Ábalos - to ensure that the Canary Islands Government contracted with the company Soluciones de Gestión y Apoyo a Empresas SL and, later, to ensure that it paid 7.8 million euros in unpaid debts.
The report, sent to the judge investigating the Koldo case in the National Court and to which EFE has had access, records the exchange of messages between Koldo and Ángel Víctor Torres and a meeting in a restaurant on July 15.
The UCO recalls that there are indications in the case that De Aldama paid 10,000 euros per month to Ábalos's advisor at the time, and emphasizes the influence he exerted on administrations such as the Government of the Canary Islands, to the point of involving its president to get them to pay the outstanding money.
