The Local Police of Teguise imposed a total of 26 complaints between December 30 and January 2 for non-compliance with health measures and restrictions imposed due to Covid, intervening in three private parties in which there were more people than allowed.
As confirmed by the City Council, one of these parties was detected in La Graciosa and in it there were twelve people, not residents of the island. As for the other meetings in which the Local Police intervened, one was registered in Caleta de Famara and the other in Costa Teguise.
However, on the night of December 31, only two complaints were filed, both on the eighth island and for non-compliance with the curfew. In La Graciosa, the agents were also doing prevention and information work in the afternoon, regarding the use of masks and security regulations in premises.
In the rest of the municipality, the City Council affirms that New Year's Eve passed "quite normally", indicating that the rest of the sanctions for non-compliance with the measures against Covid (mask, safety distance, curfew and private parties with more people) were imposed in the days before and after New Year's Eve.
