The Scottish tourist was found dead in Lanzarote on May 16 on the LZ-20 in San Bartolomé. According to police sources confirmed to La Voz, the circumstances surrounding the death of Robert Campbell, known as Rab, point to a natural death. However, confirmation of the autopsy is pending.
The information that has emerged so far reveals that Robert Campbell was on vacation in Lanzarote with a friend. It was his first time abroad. Both had a return flight to Scotland scheduled for May 11. According to the Scottish press, due to an illness, Campbell did not catch that flight and was taken to the hospital.
The Scotsman would have left the hospital and since then would have been missing. Two members of his family, who were in this country of the United Kingdom, having no news of him, decided to travel to the island last Tuesday to try to locate Robert. Now, once his death has been confirmed, they have started a crowdfunding campaign to get his body back to his country.
